Fishing Report For Sun Coast
Fishing Outlook for February 14 to 28, 2003
Friday was one of the calmest nicest days I have ever seen in February, someone forgot to tell the fish though. Went out to 70 feet of water, only to find a few shorts and some key west grunts and sea bass. We are starting to get back into a rainy patch of weather, which may slow the recent warming trend for area waters. With any luck the 62 degree mark is only a couple weeks away.
Look for white bait to start to move into local waters. Once the bait begins to show, the local preditors should also start to show.
Look for grouper in 60 feet or deeper, trout and sheaphead on the inshore scene and pray of sunny warm days.
Look for Birds on the edge of flats.......they will give away the secret of where the fish are.
